I have a small drywall surface—no more than 50 sq ft—that needs to be covered with acoustic MDF cladding. The wall is already pre-painted and clear of fixtures, so what I need is a clean, precise installation that leaves no visible fasteners and sits perfectly flush from edge to edge.
Scope of work
• Inspect and prep the drywall to be sure it’s flat, secure, and ready for bonding or mechanical fixing.
• Measure, cut, and fit the MDF panels so seams are tight and any patterns line up.
• Create neat cut-outs around two electrical outlets and a light switch already in the wall.
• Secure the panels using an adhesive and/or concealed screw system suited to drywall, ensuring full acoustic contact behind every board.
• Finish edges and corners so they look factory-made, then tidy the site completely.
Acceptance criteria
– Panels sit plumb with no gaps larger than 1 mm.
– All outlets and the switch operate freely with trimmed surrounds.
– No dents, scratches, or visible screws.
– Work area left dust-free on completion.
Bring your own tools, level, saw, adhesive, and any suitable fixings. I’ll approve the exact MDF brand once you suggest it, but it must be rated for acoustic performance. The job can be done in a single visit during daylight hours this week if your schedule allows. Let me know your lead time and any prep instructions for me before you arrive.
