I have a steady stream of industrial production-machinery work and need a mechanical engineer I can partner with long-term. The focus is squarely on machine and equipment design: transforming my concepts, sketches, and mark-ups into accurate 3D models and production-ready manufacturing drawings.

Here’s how each assignment usually runs
• You receive a brief that outlines function, envelope, key interfaces, and any reference models.
• You build parametric 3D models (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) and generate detailed fabrication drawings with dimensions, tolerances, welding symbols, and BOM.
• You return native CAD, STEP/IGES, PDFs, and a short revision log.

Acceptance criteria
- Models reflect the brief, with no unresolved clashes.
- Drawings are complete and shop-ready, aligned with relevant Australian Standards.
- File naming, revisions, and BOMs are clear and consistent.

Strong familiarity with machined, welded, and sheet-metal components is essential; experience in conveyors, guards, and drive assemblies will help you hit the ground running. Good communication and the ability to turn around iterations quickly are just as important as technical skill.

If you’re confident producing industrial-grade 3D models and manufacturing drawings and are looking for ongoing work, let’s start with a small pilot job and build from there.
