I have a spiral-rectangular PIFA that must operate at 403 MHz once implanted in muscle tissue. The stack-up is fixed: a 20 × 20 × 0.2 mm polyimide substrate surrounded by a homogeneous muscle phantom. I need to understand how subtle design tweaks affect performance at shallow implantation depths of 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm.
The comparison will focus on four configurations that vary in two ways:
• altering the spiral geometry or number of turns, and
• changing the substrate or protective coating arrangement while keeping the basic polyimide core.
For each design and depth I want a full HFSS report covering S11, resonant frequency shift, −10 dB bandwidth, realized gain, radiation efficiency, and SAR. Please keep the tissue model muscle-only as selected.
Deliverables
1. HFSS .aedt projects plus any linked files for all four antennas and depths
2. A concise spreadsheet or table of the extracted metrics, side-by-side
3. Publication-quality plots (S-parameters, gain patterns, SAR slices, efficiency, surface current plots)
4. A brief comparative discussion highlighting the best candidate and trade-offs
If you have prior biomedical or implantable antenna experience, share a sample. Let me know how long the full study will take and your cost for the package.
