Gmail Inbox & Label Cleanup

My Gmail inbox and label structure have spiralled out of control and I need a fresh, logical system put in place. The priority is the Inbox itself, followed by the labels and folders that should keep everything tidy going forward.

Right now the biggest headache is categorising incoming mail—hundreds of messages pile up because nothing is routed automatically. I want clear, reliable filters that sort new emails by keyword or subject first, and by date where that makes more sense (for example, archiving anything older than a set period into a time-stamped label). The native Gmail tools—filters, labels, search operators, even a little Google Workspace magic—should be plenty; I just don’t have the time to apply them properly.

Please bring the inbox to a manageable state, build out an intuitive label hierarchy, and leave me with an easy way to keep it that way.

Deliverables:
• Inbox reduced to zero unread or uncategorised mail
• Filters/rules that sort by chosen keywords, subjects, and date ranges
• Clean, clearly named label structure already applied to existing messages
• A short, step-by-step note explaining how to maintain the system

If you’ve tamed chaotic Gmail accounts before, your expertise will be put to good use here.
