Formal Social Issue Opinion Articles

I’m putting together a series of newspaper-style opinion pieces that tackle current social issues with a formal, serious voice. Each article must read like it belongs on the editorial page of a leading broadsheet: well-argued, evidence-driven, and firmly rooted in reputable, up-to-date sources.

What I need you to do
• Select a timely social issue, research it thoroughly, and develop a clear thesis.
• Build a logical argument supported by data, expert quotes, and relevant case studies.
• Write in polished, newspaper-ready English—concise, authoritative, and free of sensationalism.
• Cite every source (inline or footnote is fine) so the fact-checking process is seamless.

Acceptance criteria
1. 1,000–1,200 words per piece, formatted in standard column style.
2. Minimum of five credible sources, properly attributed.
3. Balanced structure: introduction, background, argument, counter-argument, and conclusion.
4. Delivered as editable Word or Google Doc, ready for sub-editing.

If you have a background in journalism or editorial writing and can meet tight deadlines while maintaining high factual accuracy, let’s get started.
