Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP CO & PA Consultant with strong functional expertise in SAP Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Month-End Close activities.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience with minimum 2 end-to-end SAP ECC 6.0 implementation projects, including project documentation and activities within BBP, Realization, Final Preparation, and post Go-Live Support.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate implementation and support of SAP Financials with focus on CO-PA and Controlling
Work on Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Material Ledger
Handle Profitability Analysis and report creation using Report Painter functionalities
Support Unsettled Costs, Month-End Close, Overhead Assessment, and Settlement processes
Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements
Identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements
Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
Design, customize, configure, and test FI / CO modules
Identify gaps, issues, and workaround solutions
Work on new requirements from client based on Change Requests
Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives
Develop necessary product modifications to satisfy client needs
Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting, investigation, analysis, and issue resolution
Document functional designs, test cases, and results
Proactively identify and propose business process and system enhancements
Provide consulting services on new implementations and existing support projects
Act as liaison between business functions and technical teams
Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required
Work independently and mentor junior team members when required
Required Skills
5+ years of experience as SAP CO-PA / SAP Controlling Consultant
Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP ECC 6.0 implementation project experience
Strong knowledge of SAP CO and CO-PA processes
Experience in Cost Center Accounting and Profit Center Accounting
Experience in Product Costing and Material Ledger
Experience in Profitability Analysis and Report Painter functionalities
Experience in Unsettled Costs, Month-End Close, Overhead Assessment, and Settlement
Strong knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules
Experience in ECC 6.0 / Simple Finance implementation preferred
Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
Knowledge of business processes and SAP implementation methodology
Experience working on Change Requests and support projects
Strong functional design, test case preparation, and documentation skills
Good communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills
Preferred Skills
Certified Cost Accountant preferred
Relevant SAP Certification will be an added advantage
Experience in Financial Analysis, Accounts Receivable, Financial Forecasting, O2C, Invoicing, Billing, and Variance Analysis
Business / Industry experience in Steel Melting — Stainless Steel / Mild Steel
Experience in Aluminum Die-Casting, Forging, Metal-Casting, Discrete Manufacturing, or Auto Ancillary Industry
