Embedded IoT Developer Needed: ESP32 + ToF Sensor Firmware & WhatsApp Integration (Benchtop Prototype)

Project Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Systems / IoT Engineer to build and test a functional benchtop circuit prototype for an app-less, non-invasive smart fuel monitoring accessory for two-wheelers.
Scope of Work:
Assemble and wire a benchtop circuit using an ESP32-C3 controller, a Time-of-Flight (ToF) distance sensor, a 3.7V LiPo battery, and a TP4056 / USB-C battery management module.
Write and optimize firmware to calculate liquid distance/level and apply moving-average filtering to suppress sloshing noise.
Implement Web Bluetooth / BLE handshake logic to transmit sensor telemetry without a custom mobile app.
Configure cloud API triggers / webhooks to send automated low-fuel notifications via the WhatsApp Cloud API.
Deliver fully commented source code, a basic schematic, and send 1–2 physically tested, working benchtop hardware units to Punjab, India.
Technologies & Hardware Stack Used:
Microcontroller: ESP32-C3 (RISC-V architecture)
Sensor: Time-of-Flight (ToF) Laser Distance Sensor (VL53L0X / VL53L1X)
Power Management: 3.7V LiPo Battery + TP4056 / USB Charging Circuit
Protocols & Communication: I2C (Sensor communication), BLE / Web Bluetooth, REST APIs / Webhooks
Cloud & Messaging: WhatsApp Cloud API (Utility Message Trigger)
Development Environments: ESP-IDF / Arduino IDE (C/C++)
