Engineer to be a user in our SaaS platform and give feedback.

I’m building a cloud-based quoting platform for engineering workshops (steel) and I need fresh, expert eyes on it before the next release. Because the tool is designed for people who price and scope real-world engineering work such as a steel structure manufacturing workshop. Whether you’re a practicing engineer, a Quantity Surveyor, or have hands-on experience preparing estimates for civil, mechanical, or electrical jobs this may be a fit for you.

Your focus will be twofold:
• Usability: approach it as a busy engineer would—spot friction points, unclear labels, or anything that could slow down producing an accurate quote.
• Functionality: push every calculation, workflow, and permission level until it breaks (or proves rock solid).

Before you do that you just need to do some work with AI. If you're not very familiar with what a typical steel structure workshop would be quoting, we can also help with this. We have example spreadsheets of what they use.

Key areas I want reviewed include the Bill-of-Quantities builder, cost-code library, margin/contingency sliders, and the export to PDF/Excel. Browser testing will be on Chrome first, then Edge.

We will work out the level or depth of the testing and the reporting approach as we progress. We will build that together based on your knowledge of creating a quote for an engineering workshop (which will grow as we proceed).
