Deploy Existing Web Application on New Ubuntu VPS (PHP + Node.js + MariaDB)

have an existing web application that needs to be deployed on a new VPS. The application is a device management dashboard for family device administration — it allows a parent/administrator to view device activity and manage settings through a web dashboard.

The application is already built and working on my current server. I need someone to replicate the setup on a new VPS (same specs) with a new domain.

What needs to be done:

Server Setup:

Install and configure Ubuntu 24.04

Install Nginx (reverse proxy)

Install PHP 8.3-FPM

Install Node.js + PM2

Install MariaDB 10.11

Install coturn (TURN server for WebRTC)

Install Docker (optional — some services run in containers)

Application Deployment:

Copy existing application files to new server

Import database (schema + data)

Configure Nginx virtual hosts

Configure SSL with Let's Encrypt (Certbot)

Configure WebSocket support (Socket.IO)

Set up PM2 for Node.js background service

Configure systemd services

Domain Migration:

Replace all references of the old domain with the new domain

Update database credentials

Update API endpoints in configuration files

Testing:

Verify web dashboard loads correctly

Verify real-time features work

Verify SSL certificate is valid

Verify all background services start on boot

Requirements:

Strong experience with Ubuntu 24.04

Strong experience with Nginx (including WebSocket proxying)

Strong experience with PHP-FPM 8.3

Strong experience with Node.js + PM2

Strong experience with MariaDB

Experience with Let's Encrypt / Certbot

Experience with systemd services

Experience with Docker (basic)

Ability to follow detailed documentation

Deliverables:

Fully working application on new VPS

All services running and enabled on boot

SSL certificate installed and auto-renewing

Documentation of the setup process (commands used, config files)
1 days of post-deployment support for bug fixes
