I’m building a classified-ads platform that works flawlessly on both the web and native mobile apps. Every person who wishes to post must first register and verify an account; guest listings are not part of the plan.
The posting flow needs to accept image-based and video-based ads (no plain-text only submissions). Uploads should be quick, preview automatically, and support multiple files per listing. Once an ad is published it must appear instantly on the responsive website and in the iOS/Android apps.
Core features I expect:
• User registration with email, phone, or social login, plus password reset and optional two-factor security.
• A personal dashboard where members can create, edit, renew, or upgrade their listings and track basic view statistics.
• An admin console for moderating content, handling reports, and managing user roles.
• Category, location, and price fields for every ad, with fast search and filters.
• Payment integration (Stripe or similar) for featured or promoted ads.
• Push notifications for messages, renewals, and admin alerts.
Tech preferences & scope:
I lean toward a single code-base approach (React + Next.js for the web and React Native or Flutter for mobile), but I’m open to any modern stack that achieves a smooth cross-platform experience. The backend can be Node, Django, or Laravel—whichever you feel delivers a clean REST or GraphQL API and is easy to scale and document. You’ll handle UI/UX, database design, cloud deployment, and app-store submissions.
Deliverables:
• Source code in a private Git repo
• Live web URL on my domain
• Published Android & iOS apps under my developer accounts
• Admin credentials and seed data
• Setup / hand-over documentation and a brief video walkthrough
Acceptance criteria:
1. A new user can register, verify, upload an image or video ad, and see it live on both web and mobile in under one minute.
2. Any ad that is flagged appears in the admin console and can be taken down with a single click.
3. Google PageSpeed Insight score of 85+ on mobile for the public ad view.
