Contently’s approach to content strategy is different from what you might be used to. We don’t believe in consulting for consulting’s sake. Our strategy work is always focused on actionable plans that lead to publication.
As a Contently Content Strategist your primary responsibility is to educate clients about and help them explore the possibilities of branded content — working hand in hand with them to develop objectives and strategy. You will do this by leading discovery sessions to clients uncover their objectives, identify or create assets that can be developed into content, design and implement frameworks that brands and agencies can utilize to maximize content on Contently, and ultimately to project manage campaigns to ensure the strategy delivers on its promise.
You’ll teach marketers what constitutes great content on Contently, and also how to build holistic strategy from organic discovery to paid promotion. You’ll share best practices and inspire better ones with Contently's top clients.
The position is freelance, performed remotely, typically range from 5 hours to 20 hours per week. Pay is competitive.
What You'll Do:
Lead and customize ½ and full-day strategy sessions as part of the Contently Studio.
Ideate, build and help achieve content strategies that communicate and achieve client objectives
Educate clients about the importance and opportunities of branded content
Attend and/or lead meetings with clients
Who Your Are:
Experience in driving or contributing to content strategies on the client side or as an account planner, comms planner, digital strategist or community manager
Experience in publishing technology from CMS platforms to analytics
Alignment to Contently’s vision and core value.
5-7 years of experience in a publishing or agency environment
Demonstrated ability to work face-to-face with client teams
Extensive knowledge of the native advertising and branded content spaces
Ability to write clearly and without jargon
Avid consumer of media, of all types
Strong PowerPoint and Keynote skills.
Location:
Primarily remote at your own location. Travel to Contently office and client sites.
