Complete Unfinished Home Remodel

My house is sitting half-done after a poorly managed remodeling contract fell apart. A licensed, seasoned general contractor must now step in, assess the site, correct sub-standard workmanship, and drive the project through to final inspection.
Current status
• Extension and dormer: framed but unfinished—this is the top priority and must meet local code immediately.
• Siding, roofing, deck, and front stoop: materials are on-site, work either incomplete or improperly installed. The entire exterior needs a cohesive finish that matches the original design intent.
What has to happen next
1. On-site assessment within the first three days, with a written report highlighting structural, safety, and compliance issues.
2. Detailed recovery plan: timeline, milestone payments, and a clear sequence for trades, permitting, and inspections.
3. Completion of the extension and dormer to full code compliance before moving on to the roof and building envelope.
4. Full siding installation around the house, integrated with the new roofing system for proper flashing and weatherproofing.
5. Construction and finishing of the deck and stoop, including railings, stairs, and all required hardware.
6. Final punch list, city inspection sign-off, and delivery of warranties for labor and supplied materials.
Access to existing architectural drawings, permits, and purchase receipts will be provided at kickoff. Scheduling software updates, photo documentation, and weekly walkthroughs keep communication transparent. Quality craftsmanship, clean jobsite etiquette, and adherence to agreed timelines are non-negotiable.
