Build Developer Freelance Marketplace

I’m launching a specialised online marketplace that matches clients who need websites or mobile apps with talented developers. The platform must feel as intuitive as the big-name freelance sites, but be purpose-built for web and app work.

Core experience
Clients open an account, post a project (website, mobile app, or both), and receive proposals. Developers create a profile, list skills, showcase past work, and bid competitively. Once a job is awarded, everyone should be able to track milestones, exchange files, and release payments securely inside the site.

Essential features
• User profiles with ratings and written reviews
• Built-in project management workspace (milestones, messages, file sharing)
• Integrated payment processing with an escrow-style release flow

Technical expectations
– Responsive web application, optimised for desktop and mobile browsers
– Modern, scalable stack (your recommendation is welcome: React / Vue / Next, Laravel / Node, PostgreSQL / MySQL, etc.)
– Clean, well-documented code that can be handed to another team in the future
– Admin dashboard for user moderation, dispute management, and fee settings
– Security best practices: HTTPS, hashed passwords, CSRF protection, SQL injection prevention

Acceptance criteria
1. A live, fully functional site deployed on my cloud account.
2. All listed features operating smoothly and tested end-to-end.
3. Source code, database schema, and environment documentation delivered.
