I’m shooting a live-action feature that pays tribute to the rubber-hose cartoons of the 1930s, and I need tangible characters to bring that world to life. I’m looking for someone (or a small team) who can fabricate both the full-body puppets for my human-sized cartoon cast and a standout suit for the film’s villain, Blake Pineapple. Think pie-cut eyes, oversized gloves, bouncy limbs—everything that screams “golden-age animation” but functions smoothly on a real set.

Because this is a no-budget passion project, I can’t offer monetary payment. What I can promise is full on-screen credit, prominent mention in all promotional material, and the freedom to leave your creative fingerprint on every stitch and seam. If you have a portfolio filled with mascot suits, Muppet-style builds, cosplay armor, or stage puppetry, I’d love to see it—links or photos of past work will help me understand how you tackle durability, comfort, and expressiveness.

Timeline is flexible but I aim to start filming practical tests in the next few months, so completing the builds by then would be ideal. Materials and techniques (foam fabrication, EVA, antron fleece, fabric dye-sub prints, hidden harnesses, etc.) are up to you; the goal is a screen-ready finish that captures that classic cartoon charm while surviving multiple days on set.

Deliverables
• One Blake Pineapple villain suit, wearable and fully articulated
• quite a few human-sized character puppets, performer-operated, matching the same 1930s aesthetic based off of my drawings of the characters
• Basic care/maintenance notes so our crew can handle touch-ups between takes

If vintage animation makes your heart race and you’re eager for a creative credit on a feature-length film, drop me a message with samples of your previous builds. Let’s make some movie magic together!
