Backend Wizard for Data Engineering Task

Project Title: Backend Developer Needed for Small Data Engineering Project

We are looking for a backend developer to help build the backend for a small data engineering project. The frontend will be built in React, and the backend can be developed in Python preferred, or PHP if suitable.

Project Scope:

- Build backend APIs for the React frontend
- Design data ingestion and processing flow
- Handle file/data upload, validation, and storage
- Create basic data transformation/cleaning logic
- Store processed data in a database
- Provide APIs to fetch processed results for frontend display
- Add proper error handling, logging, and documentation
- Ensure the backend is scalable enough for future enhancements

Preferred Skills:

- Strong experience in Python backend development, preferably FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Experience with data engineering workflows
- Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Experience with REST APIs
- Basic understanding of React frontend integration
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Pandas, ETL pipelines, background jobs, or cloud storage
- Experience deploying backend services
- Understanding of authentication and role-based access
