Redesign Existing Website for UK Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing Company
Project description
We are looking for an experienced B2B/industrial website designer and developer to completely redesign our existing website for a UK-based rapid prototyping and low-volume production company.
This is not a new website or new domain. We want to retain our existing domain and SEO value while significantly improving the design, positioning, structure and conversion journey.
We are repositioning from appearing primarily as a general 3D printing service to:
A Rapid Prototyping & Low-Volume Production Partner
Our capabilities include:
Rapid prototyping
FDM 3D printing
Industrial/large-format SLA 3D printing
CAD modelling and design iteration
Reverse engineering
Low-volume and repeat production
Laser cutting
Resin moulding/casting
CNC turning
Prototype fabrication, assembly and professional finishing
Our desired customer journey is:
CAD → Prototype → Refine → Produce → Repeat
The primary target audience is businesses, engineers, product developers, manufacturers, hardware startups and companies requiring prototypes or recurring small-batch production.
We still want to accommodate professional B2C/inventor projects, but the website should have a premium B2B engineering/manufacturing appearance, rather than looking like a hobby 3D-printing service.
Website inspiration
FuseWorx — we like the clarity of its prototyping/manufacturing positioning and industrial presentation.
Yuro Technologies — we like its premium presentation, product-development feel and portfolio/project presentation.
These websites are references only and should not be copied.
What we're looking for
The redesign should include a strong homepage, individual service pages, industries, real projects/case studies, company/about section and a Get a Quote / Upload Your Project journey.
The existing website already has SEO work underway, so preserving existing URLs, rankings and SEO structure is extremely important. Our SEO provider can work with the selected developer regarding existing rankings and redirects.
A detailed PDF project brief will be supplied.
When applying, please include 2–3 websites you personally designed/developed, ideally for engineering, manufacturing, industrial, technology or other B2B companies.
Please also include:
Fixed price • Estimated timescale • Platform recommendation • Number of revisions • Post-launch support
We're looking for someone who understands B2B positioning and conversion, not simply someone who can install and customise a generic WordPress template.
