I am refreshing our entire AWS environment and need an experienced DevOps engineer to jump in and tighten up every stage of the pipeline—especially around Docker container deployment. While the estate already runs on EC2, S3, RDS, IAM-controlled VPCs and stores images in ECR, the day-to-day flow is hitting bottlenecks once the containers leave Jenkins.
Here is what I expect to accomplish together:
• Optimise existing Dockerfiles and build stages so images stay small, fast and secure, then push them cleanly to ECR.
• Orchestrate containers reliably (whether that ends up being ECS, EKS, or a well-documented Docker Compose stack) and wire them back into the Jenkins pipeline that is already in place.
• Troubleshoot the current deployment pain points until blue-green or rolling releases happen with zero downtime.
Around those core tasks, I will also lean on you for AWS infrastructure tweaks, Nginx reverse-proxy setup with HTTPS, Trivy-based vulnerability scanning, cost-saving recommendations, and any Linux-level fixes the servers need. Clear, step-by-step documentation of everything you touch is mandatory—this project should be maintainable long after hand-off.
If you have a track record of delivering smooth, automated releases on AWS with Jenkins and Docker, I would like to hear how you would tackle the above and how quickly you could start.
