Automation Developer Needed – Google Display Ads Campaign Creation Using Claude Code / AI Overview

We are a high-volume digital marketing company looking for an experienced AI Automation Developer / Google Ads API Developer to build an automated system for creating and launching Google Display Ad campaigns.

We are currently adding approximately 20–40 new Google Display clients per day, and our manual campaign creation process has created a significant backlog.

Our goal is to automate as much of the campaign setup process as possible using Claude Code, AI, Google Sheets, and the Google Ads API.

This is not a simple Zapier automation. We are looking for someone capable of designing and building a reliable production system that can process a large volume of clients.

What We Want to Build

We currently maintain a Google Sheet containing our Google Display advertising clients.

At minimum, the system would receive:

Business Name
Website URL
Client/Account Information
Target Location / Service Area
Target Impressions
Any additional campaign requirements

The automation should take a new client from the Google Sheet and automatically perform the majority of the campaign creation process.

1. Read New Clients From Google Sheets

The system should automatically detect clients that are ready for campaign creation and begin processing them.

It should also maintain statuses such as:

Ready → Processing → Creative Generated → Campaign Created → QA → Live / Error

2. Analyze the Client's Website

The system should visit and analyze the client's website to determine:

Business type
Services offered
Branding
Logo
Images
Colors
Geographic service area
Relevant landing pages
Advertising messaging
Calls to action

The system should extract enough information from the website to intelligently build the advertising campaign.

3. Automatically Generate Display Ad Creatives

Using AI, the system should create professional Google Display advertising creatives based on the client's website and branding.

Ideally, this includes generating the appropriate image assets and sizes needed for Responsive Display Ads.

The system should be capable of using the client's existing branding, logo, images, services, and website content whenever appropriate rather than creating completely generic advertisements.

We are open to using Claude alongside image-generation APIs or other tools where appropriate.

4. Generate Ad Copy

AI should automatically create:

Headlines
Long headlines
Descriptions
Calls to action
Other required Responsive Display Ad assets

Copy should be based on the actual client's business and website.

5. Build the Google Ads Campaign

Using the Google Ads API, automatically create the campaign inside the appropriate Google Ads account.

This may include:

Campaign creation
Campaign naming
Budget
Geographic targeting
Ad groups
Audience/targeting settings
Responsive Display Ads
Image assets
Logos
Headlines
Descriptions
Landing page URLs
Required exclusions/settings
Other standardized campaign settings

We will provide the campaign structure and rules that should be followed.

6. Automated QA / Error Handling

Because we process a large number of clients, reliability is extremely important.

The system should check for issues such as:

Missing website information
Invalid URLs
Missing logos/images
Google Ads API errors
Disapproved or invalid creative assets
Missing targeting information
Duplicate campaigns
Failed campaign creation

If the automation cannot confidently complete a campaign, it should flag the client for manual review instead of guessing.

Errors and status updates should be written back to the Google Sheet or preferably displayed in a simple management dashboard.

Ideal Workflow

Our ultimate goal is:

New Client Added to Google Sheet → Website Analyzed → Branding/Content Extracted → Ad Creative Generated → Ad Copy Generated → Google Display Campaign Built → Automated QA → Campaign Ready for Review/Launch

We want our employees primarily handling exceptions and QA rather than manually building every campaign.

Google Ads API experience is especially important.

We are not simply looking for someone who knows how to manually create Google Ads campaigns.

Scale

The system needs to be designed for significant volume.

We are currently adding approximately 20–40 new clients every business day, and that number may continue to increase.

The system therefore needs proper:

Queue management
Logging
Retry handling
API rate-limit management
Duplicate prevention
Error reporting
Human review / approval functionality

We want something that can eventually process hundreds or thousands of campaigns reliably, not a fragile automation that breaks after processing a few clients.

Important

We understand that AI should not blindly publish advertising campaigns without safeguards.

We want the developer to build appropriate approval checkpoints so campaigns or creatives can be reviewed by our team when necessary before going live.

The goal is to automate 90%+ of the repetitive work while allowing our team to handle quality control and exceptions.

If the initial system works well, we have several other high-volume digital marketing processes that we would like to automate using AI.
