Automate Gmail Contacts Export

I receive new contacts in Gmail every day and I want their details to land automatically in an Excel workbook—no more copy-and-paste. The only pieces of information I care about are the contact’s Name and Phone number; the email address itself can be ignored.

The Excel sheet must follow a custom structure that differs from the classic “one-column-per-field” approach. I will share the exact layout once you start, but think of it as a templated worksheet where each new line has to respect specific merged cells, headers, and formatting rules I already use for reporting.

Here is what I need from you:
• A reliable script or small app (Google Apps Script, Python with Gmail/Sheets API, or any tool you prefer) that pulls fresh Gmail contacts once a day.
• Automatic population of the Excel file in the custom format, overwriting or appending as we agree.
• Clear instructions so I can adjust the schedule or field mapping later if required.

Acceptance will be based on a one-click (or fully scheduled) run that produces an Excel file exactly in my template and shows the new Name and Phone number entries without errors.
