AI Tools Directory WordPress Site

I want to launch a clean, fast-loading WordPress site that serves as a searchable directory of AI, productivity, business and learning tools, each monetised with affiliate links. I already have hosting in place; you’ll handle the full WordPress installation, set-up and hardening so the project is production-ready from day one.

Because I’m not an interface expert, I’d like you to guide me on the most suitable homepage layout—grid, list, masonry or any hybrid you feel will showcase the tools elegantly on desktop and mobile. I don’t have inspirational examples, so please come prepared with a few modern, minimalist references we can discuss before you dive into design.

Core build requirements
• Responsive, minimalist theme or custom child theme
• Homepage that surfaces featured or newest tools and encourages exploration
• Structured directory with categories, tags and an internal search + filter system
• Individual tool review pages with space for screenshots, pros/cons, rating and my affiliate CTA buttons
• Blog section for news and tutorials, plus a separate “Frameworks” section (essentially another category template)
• Newsletter signup (I’m on Mailchimp but open to better options) placed strategically across the site
• Affiliate link management via a reliable plugin or lightweight custom solution
• On-page SEO configuration (metadata, schema for reviews, XML sitemap)
• Image and code optimisation to keep load times low; aim for green Core Web Vitals
• Security best practices (firewall, login protection, automated backups)
• Google Analytics 4 (or Matomo if you prefer open-source) fully configured

Deliverables
1. Staging site for approval, then live deployment
2. All page templates, menus and sample content populated so I can see the flow
3. Documentation or short Loom walkthrough covering how I add new tools, blog posts and track affiliate clicks
4. Post-launch support window to tackle any unforeseen bugs
