Overview
We're launching a mobile app and need a hands-on tester/coder to support beta testing, bug triage, and light fixes in the run-up to launch. You'll work closely with the core team, using AI-assisted tools to move fast on both testing and small code changes.
Responsibilities
Execute manual and AI-assisted test passes across core app flows (functional, regression, edge cases) ahead of beta release
Log, triage, and reproduce bugs with clear repro steps for the dev team
Fix minor bugs directly (front-end/UI issues, small logic errors) using AI coding tools to move quickly
Support app store submission readiness — flag anything likely to trigger review rejection (crashes, broken flows, policy issues)
Run structured beta testing coordination: distribute builds, collect tester feedback, compile results
Verify fixes and re-test after each build
Flag performance, stability, or UX issues that could hurt download/retention rates post-launch
Requirements
Proven experience testing mobile apps (iOS and/or Android)
Comfortable using AI coding/testing tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate testing and small fixes
Basic-to-intermediate coding ability (JS/TS, Swift, Kotlin, or whatever the app's stack is — confirm before posting)
Strong bug-report writing — clear, reproducible, prioritized
Available for daily or near-daily check-ins during the 2-3 week testing window
Based in India, works India hours with some overlap for syncs
Nice to have
Experience with beta distribution tools (TestFlight, Firebase App Distribution)
Familiarity with app store review guidelines (Apple/Google) and common rejection reasons
Prior work on a consumer app launch under time pressure

Hourly rate (300 INR)
