Adventure Picture Book for Toddlers

I’m creating a picture book aimed squarely at the 0-3-year age range and I need a writer who can capture the sense of adventure and exploration that keeps little listeners leaning forward at story time. The final text should be simple enough for toddlers, rich in rhythm or gentle rhyme, and short—ideally no more than 250–300 words total.

What I’m after:
• A complete, polished manuscript that tells one clear, engaging adventure suited to full-spread illustrations.
• A brief scene-by-scene breakdown (or page plan) so my illustrator has guidance on pacing, imagery, and page turns.
• Language that encourages participation—repetition, onomatopoeia, and age-appropriate vocabulary are welcome.

Acceptance criteria
1. Story celebrates exploration or discovery in a way toddlers can relate to (e.g., backyard safari, first trip to the beach—feel free to pitch ideas).
2. Manuscript arrives print-ready: proof-read, formatted with page breaks, and within the word count.
3. Scene breakdown accompanies the text and clearly matches each page turn.
