I already have a working LabVIEW 2016 application that drives several axes. A new rotary stage has just arrived and the manufacturer has supplied a full set of LabVIEW VIs. What I need now is for that rotary axis to be woven seamlessly into my current code so it behaves exactly like the existing stages—only with the higher-resolution, precise-positioning capability this hardware offers.

Scope
• Integrate the vendor’s VIs into my LabVIEW 2016 project.
• Extend my motion-control state machine so the new rotary axis can home, move absolute/relative, and report position with the same safety interlocks and fault handling as the other axes.
• Update the UI so the rotary position, target entry field, and status indicators appear alongside the existing controls.
• Keep the current project architecture intact; the new code should slot into its own class/module without breaking anything already deployed.

Key requirements
– Axis type: Rotary
– Core need: Precise positioning to within the stage’s specified resolution
– Deadline: code ready for hand-off and test within one month

Deliverables
• Modified LabVIEW 2016 project files
• Any new or altered subVIs, clearly documented
• Brief integration notes describing where and how the rotary routines were added, plus test steps to verify positioning accuracy

Hardware is available on site; if remote development is easier, I can provide live access to a motion simulator build of the project for bench testing before final in-person verification.
