Video Editor for Basketball Training YouTube Channel (Paid Trial)
I run The Dunk Lab, a basketball vertical-jump training channel on YouTube and Instagram. I'm looking for an editor for a paid trial project, with possible ongoing work if it's a good fit.
Trial project
Edit one ~6-minute educational talking-head video (iPhone footage, ring-light lit, plus B-roll for exercise demos)
Optional: one 30–45 second vertical short (9:16) cut from the same footage
What the edit needs
Tight pacing: cut dead air, fast and punchy first 10 seconds
Light color correction (natural skin tones, no heavy filters)
B-roll placed over the exercise explanations
Sound effects with a clear hierarchy: soft, consistent sounds for repeated elements, bolder ones only for big one-time moments
Simple text callouts and a few zoom-ins for emphasis
Clean captions
Export 1080p MP4 (16:9 long-form, 9:16 shorts)
What I'll provide
Raw footage and B-roll via Google Drive, a one-page style guide, and 2–3 reference videos of edits I like
What I'm looking for
Portfolio of YouTube or short-form edits (fitness, sports, or educational is a plus)
CapCut or Premiere experience
Reliable communication and a turnaround of [X] days
1–2 revision rounds included
To apply: start your proposal, then give your price for the trial, your turnaround time, and 2–3 relevant examples.
