I have a Yale electric rim lock already installed and I want to take it a step further by adding three parallel ways to open it: a keypad PIN, an RFID tag/card, and a biometric fingerprint reader. The main driver is day-to-day convenience for family and frequent visitors—no more fumbling for physical keys—so the solution has to be fast, reliable, and easy to maintain.

Here’s the scope in practical terms. I need a compact control module—Arduino, ESP32, or any other microcontroller you feel best fits—wired to the Yale lock’s strike mechanism. It must read all three credentials, decide locally, then trigger the solenoid without noticeable lag. A small OLED or LED feedback indicator and a relay or MOSFET driver for the lock should be part of the circuit. Power will come from the existing door supply, but advice on a clean, battery-backed 12 V or 5 V rail is welcome to avoid brownouts during actuation.

Because I may expand to logging or Wi-Fi later, please keep the code clean, well-commented, and modular. No cloud dependency is required right now; all decision logic should stay on-device.

Deliverables
• Circuit schematic and neat wiring diagram
• Fully-commented firmware source with compile instructions
• Parts list with exact module part numbers
• Brief enclosure or mounting suggestion so the readers and keypad sit neatly near the door
• Quick video or photo series demonstrating each method unlocking the Yale rim lock

Acceptance criteria: firmware compiles out of the box, the diagram matches the demo, and each of the three methods unlocks the rim latch in under two seconds.
