Write European Fantasy Kids Book

I’m ready to commission a complete children’s novel for readers aged 9-12. The tone should feel unmistakably European—think subtle folklore references, settings that evoke old towns and misty forests—while still being fast-paced and relatable to modern pre-teens.

The core brief
• Genre: Fantasy
• Protagonists: Mythical creatures (your chance to invent new species or reimagine classics such as sprites, trolls, or gryphons)
• Length: 20–30k words, structured in clear chapters that a middle-grade reader can tackle in short sittings.

What I need from you
1. A short synopsis so we can lock the plot before you dive in.
2. A chapter-by-chapter outline (I’ll give feedback and approve it).
3. The full manuscript in Word or Google Docs, ready for light illustrations later.
4. One round of revisions after my editorial notes.

Voice & style
Keep language rich but accessible, with sparks of humor and wonder. Avoid heavy exposition; show the magic through action and dialogue. Themes of courage, friendship and self-discovery should underpin the adventure.

Timeline
I’d like the synopsis within a week of hire, the outline a week after that, and the full draft in eight additional weeks. If you can suggest a tighter schedule, let me know.

If you have previous middle-grade fantasy credits, links or samples will help me choose quickly. Let’s give young readers a fresh myth to fall in love with.
