Windows MySQL Local Server Setup

I need someone to install and fully configure the latest stable release of MySQL on a Windows-based machine that will act only as a local development server. Your job starts with the clean installation itself—downloading the correct installer, choosing the right configuration options for a single-instance environment, and making sure the service starts automatically with Windows.

Once the database engine is in place, please secure it by setting a strong root password, removing test databases, and enabling any recommended Windows firewall rules so it is not exposed beyond the host PC. I will also need one non-root user created with full privileges for development purposes, plus a short verification script or command-line check that confirms connections work from MySQL Workbench and the native mysql client.

Deliverables:
• Running MySQL service on Windows with latest stable build
• Root credentials handed over securely and documented
• One additional user with full privileges
• A brief, step-by-step text file outlining what you configured so I can replicate the setup later

If you run into any Windows-specific nuances or service conflicts, please document the fix in that notes file as well.
