JOB: WhatsApp Group Data Extraction & Google Sheets Automation
Project Title:
Develop WhatsApp Group Message Automation to Google Sheets
Project Description
We are looking for an experienced freelancer to develop an automation system that can read and extract messages from WhatsApp Groups and automatically update the information into Google Sheets.
The purpose of this project is to automate the collection of project updates and information shared by workers in our WhatsApp Groups.
Main Requirements
The system must be able to:
1. Connect to WhatsApp Groups and receive incoming group messages.
2. Read messages sent by group members.
3. Identify the WhatsApp Group Name and Group ID.
4. Extract relevant information from incoming messages.
5. Automatically transfer and update the extracted information into Google Sheets.
6. Organise information according to the respective project or WhatsApp Group.
7. Prevent duplicate records when the same message is received more than once.
8. Record message date, time, sender name, group name and message content.
Important Requirements
- The automation must support WhatsApp Group messages, not just individual WhatsApp chats.
- The system must work automatically without manually copying and pasting messages.
- Google Sheets must be updated whenever a new relevant group message is received.
- The system must be stable and able to handle multiple WhatsApp Groups.
- This is a read-only data collection system. It must NOT send replies or messages to WhatsApp Groups.
Preferred Technologies
Freelancers with experience in the following technologies are encouraged to apply:

- WAHA
- Evolution API
- WPPConnect
- Whapi.Cloud
- n8n
- Google Sheets API
- Google Apps Script
- Webhooks and REST API
- AI / OpenAI API for message extraction and classification
You may propose other suitable technologies if they can fulfil all the requirements.
Expected Deliverables
1. A fully working WhatsApp Group data extraction system.
2. Automatic integration with Google Sheets.
3. Proper data organisation and duplicate prevention.
4. Complete source code and configuration documentation.
5. Testing and demonstration using actual WhatsApp Group messages.
6. Technical support during initial setup and testing.
