My western novel is ready for its final touch: a cover that instantly transports readers to the dusty trails and frontier towns of the late-1800s. The mood I’m after is unmistakably nostalgic and historical—think time-worn leather, weather-beaten wood, and that sepia glow you find in old tintype photographs.

Key visual anchors
• A central middle aged figure that feels authentic rather than caricatured
• A sweeping western landscape—a hint of desert mountains or rugged mesas in the background to ground the scene in place and era

I’m picturing a palette built on warm, lived-in hues that echo sun-bleached prairies and antique photographs, but I’m open to your creative interpretation as long as it reinforces the sense of history.
