Noura Care — Quick-Fix Speed Brief
Small, fixed-scope job. Budget: AUD $100 flat. Prepared for nouracare.au (Shopify).
1. Background
This is a narrow, bounded task — not a full site audit. Mobile PageSpeed is currently 53 (LCP has already improved from 21.3s to 16.1s, FCP from 8.0s to 6.8s, after disabling a popup that was hurting it). This job covers two specific, well-defined fixes only.
2. The Two Fixes Needed
Fix 1 — Remove orphaned Search & Discovery code
• The Search & Discovery app was uninstalled from this store. It may have left behind broken or orphaned code that is affecting on-site search and the 'You may also like' product recommendation sections.
• Please check both features on the live site, identify any leftover script tags, snippets, or broken references from the old app, and remove them cleanly.
• If search or recommendations are broken, restore basic functionality using native Shopify search/recommendation features (no new app installs without checking with us first).
Fix 2 — Cut unused JavaScript (307 KiB)
• PageSpeed Insights flags 307 KiB of unused JavaScript — the largest single opportunity on the site right now, well ahead of any other finding.
• This is very likely third-party app scripts (Klaviyo, Judge.me, Bundler) loading on every page site-wide, even on pages where they're not used (e.g. Judge.me loading on pages with no reviews visible, Bundler loading outside cart/product-bundle contexts).
• Please identify which app scripts are loading unnecessarily on which page types, and set them to load conditionally (only on the pages that need them) rather than globally.
• Do not alter what these apps do — only when/where they load. Test that Klaviyo signup, Judge.me reviews, and Bundler upsells still work correctly on the pages where they should appear.
3. Out of Scope (do not touch)
• Tapita SEO & Speed — confirmed to be actively helping performance, must not be disabled or altered.
• What the app scripts in Fix 2 actually do — only change when/where they load, not their configuration or content.
• Images, legacy JavaScript, or any other PageSpeed finding not listed above — separate job.
• No visual/design changes.
4. Must Not Break
• Klaviyo signup forms and abandoned cart flow must still fire on all pages where they currently appear.
• Judge.me reviews must still display and accept submissions on product pages.
• Bundler upsells must still work on cart/product bundle pages.
• On-site search and product recommendations must work by the end of Fix 1, even if just restored to basic native functionality.
• Mobile responsiveness.
5. Deliverables
• Confirmation search and recommendations are working (screenshot or short video).
• List of which app scripts were changed to conditional loading, and on which page types.
• Confirmation Klaviyo, Judge.me, and Bundler still work correctly on their relevant pages (test order/screen recording).
• Before/after mobile PageSpeed Insights screenshot, with unused JavaScript KiB figure specifically.
