My current project is a web-based application that already has a basic structure in place, but several key pieces still need expert attention—from refining the front-end experience to tightening up the back-end logic and deployment workflow. I need someone comfortable jumping into an existing codebase, diagnosing what works and what doesn’t, then delivering clean, maintainable updates that push the product closer to launch.

Tasks likely to come up include integrating third-party APIs, improving page-load performance, addressing cross-browser quirks, and adding a few user-facing features that are outlined in the repository issue tracker. The stack so far leans on JavaScript (React on the front end, Node.js with Express on the server side) and a PostgreSQL database, all containerised with Docker; if you have better tooling suggestions, I’m open to them—as long as the end result stays lightweight and easy to maintain.

To keep momentum, I prefer frequent, small commits and clear commit messages, paired with quick progress check-ins over chat or a short call. Please estimate how many hours you expect to need for the first milestone (bug fixes and performance tuning) so we can agree on a realistic timeline before expanding to new features.

Deliverable for the first milestone:
• Updated, working code pushed to the repo with no breaking tests
• A concise change log explaining what was fixed or improved
• Deployment instructions that work on a clean machine

If this sounds like a project where you can add real value, let’s get started—code access is ready the moment we agree on scope.
