Water-Activated Transforming Toy Prototype

I need a working prototype of a creature figure that powers up the moment it is submerged. A simple water trigger should release spring-loaded linkages so the torso rises and broadens, the shoulders spread, the limbs extend, and signature features swing into place. As the form enlarges, the surface must also shift dramatically in colour—using standard water-reactive pigments—before everything can be pushed or latched back into its compact mode for the next cycle.
The core mechanism has to rely on spring-loaded components; I am not looking for hydraulic or magnetic solutions this time. The body should be moulded primarily in plastic so the parts stay light yet strong, with tight tolerances where the moving joints meet.
Precise movement is essential in:
• Torso and shoulders
• Limbs
• Key features (like wings or fins)
What I expect from you:
– Detailed concept sketches and CAD files showing the spring layouts, latch points, and water-trigger system
– A single fully assembled, resettable prototype that can survive repeated dunk tests without warping or mis-firing
– A concise rundown of materials, pigments, and spring specs so I can scale this for production later
If you have experience with toy mechs, water-reactive finishes, or compact spring assemblies, let’s talk.
