Chanj is a nonprofit supply program that redirects unused surplus materials from colleges and universities (furniture, office supplies, equipment) to schools and orphanages in Haiti. We're partnering with universities and community colleges across New Jersey to build a steady donation pipeline.

What We Need
We've already reached out to Purchasing/Facilities departments at 30+ NJ colleges and universities via email (list below). Now we need a VA to help us go deeper and wider on outreach.

Scope of Work
LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook Messaging:
We will provide the accounts to use for outreach (you will not need your own accounts)
Send connection requests and DMs to relevant staff at each college on the list above - Purchasing, Facilities, Sustainability, and Procurement contacts
Follow up with a short, warm message introducing Chanj's supply program once connected

College Group Engagement:
Identify relevant LinkedIn/Facebook groups tied to these colleges (alumni groups, sustainability groups, student org groups, staff groups)
Post or comment to raise visibility of the supply program where appropriate

Direct Messaging to Group Leaders:
Identify leaders/admins of relevant college groups
Send personalized outreach messages introducing the program and asking for a connection to the right department

Phone Outreach List Building:
Research and compile a list of Purchasing/Facilities contacts to call (name, title, phone number, department) for colleges where we don't yet have a confirmed contact
This list will be used for phone outreach done separately - no calling required for this role

Support Provided:
We'll give you SOPs and tools to get the job done correctly - you won't be figuring this out from scratch.

Ideal Candidate:
Experience with B2B/institutional outreach, lead generation, or nonprofit development
Comfortable messaging on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook using provided accounts
Comfortable with research/prospecting to build contact lists (no calling required)
Organized - able to track outreach status across 30+ institutions (we'll provide a tracking sheet)
Good written communication; can adapt a warm, professional tone
Bonus: experience with higher ed, nonprofits, or CSR/donation programs

Deliverables:
Weekly tracker update (who was contacted, method, response, next step)
LinkedIn/Instagram/Facebook connection and message log
Contact list for phone outreach (name, title, phone, department) per college
List of confirmed contacts and any positive responses flagged for follow-up
