I run a small service business that juggles two streams of work: everyday home repair calls—mostly plumbing, electrical, painting and building furniture and Outdoor tents—and a steady flow of light automotive brake jobs, suspension work, sensor replacements, alternators and battery replacement. The volume has grown past what I can personally cover, so I’m bringing in a dependable part-time helper who can move comfortably between those two worlds.

Here’s what day-to-day typically looks like:

• Morning might start with a leaking kitchen faucet, a toilet that won’t stop running, or a short stretch of copper that needs to be sweated back together.
• Afternoon could mean swapping pads and rotors on a customer’s daily driver, bleeding the system, and road-testing to confirm a firm pedal.
• Between jobs we’ll sometimes handle quick odds-and-ends—tightening door hardware, replacing a garbage disposal, or hauling old parts to the recycler.

You’ll need your own truck or van plus a solid set of hand and power tools for both plumbing and brake work. I supply materials and consumables on site, but you should arrive ready for the unexpected.

Key expectations
– Proven skill in residential plumbing repair: shut-offs, traps, supply lines, basic soldering or PEX, fixture installation, leak tracing.
– Confident with disc and drum brake service, including resurfacing decisions, torque specs, and test drives.
– Clean driving record for local travel between jobs.
– Professional demeanor with homeowners—most of my repeat business comes from word of mouth.

The schedule is flexible and project-based; I’ll call you in as jobs land. If you prefer certain days or hours, let’s talk and lock them in. Pay is issued promptly after each completed ticket.
