I’m preparing an ongoing series of direct-mail advertising brochures and need a designer who already understands United States Postal Service layout requirements—things like indicia placement, clear address zones, proper dimensions, safe-area margins, bleed, and fold orientation. If you’ve produced brochures that sailed through USPS verification before, you’ll feel right at home.
Here’s what I’ll supply on each project: final copy, brand guidelines, and any existing artwork or imagery. Your job is to build a press-ready file that meets USPS specs and is visually persuasive for my target audience. I typically work in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, so compatibility there is important.
When you respond, show me past work that demonstrates two things:
1. You have designed brochures (not just postcards or letters).
2. Those brochures were prepared for U.S. mailing and advertising purposes.
If your first brochure comes back flawless—proper trims, folds, and postal zones—I’ll channel the remainder of my upcoming mailings straight to you.
