USGS Terrain to SketchUp Model

I have a 15–16-acre excerpt from a USGS topographic quad and I’d like it converted into a clean SketchUp sandbox surface. The goal is to give my landscape design team a reliable base they can build on, so I only need the natural relief—ridges, valleys, and contour-based grading. No man-made structures, roads, or buildings should appear.
Scope
• Import the section I’ll supply (TIFF/PDF or GIS format) and generate a single SketchUp file (.skp) using the native Sandbox tools or an equivalent terrain plugin.
• Keep the mesh light: basic terrain accuracy is enough as long as the major contour breaks match the USGS intervals.
• Preserve natural features such as streams or tree lines only if they affect the terrain shape; otherwise maintain a smooth surface.
Acceptance
The file should open in current SketchUp Pro without extensions, show correct real-world scale, and let me toggle contours on or off for grading studies.
I’ll share the map slice and reference coordinates once we start; feel free to tell me what format works best for you.
