Dons story of being mistreated by the Canada Revenue Agency has reached a tipping-point and I need a communications specialist who can help me get it in front of the public fast. I’m focusing on two complementary tracks: (1) an assertive social-media campaign and (2) a well-crafted press release aimed at mainstream and independent Canadian outlets.
For social, I want coordinated posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that combine concise, share-worthy copy with compelling images or infographics. The goal is to spark conversation, generate shares and build enough traction that journalists start paying attention. Clear, factual messaging is essential; sensationalism will backfire.
Alongside the posts, I need a professionally written press release that lays out the facts, human impact and broader public-interest angle. If you’re familiar with Canadian newswire distribution or have media contacts, that’s a plus.
Deliverables I expect:
• One press release ready for distribution (400–600 words)
• At least five platform-specific post sets (copy + image) per network
• Two infographic designs translating key facts/timeline into an easily shared visual
• A brief rollout plan outlining ideal posting schedule and hashtags
Turnaround is critical—ideally initial drafts within 72 hours so we can move quickly while the issue is still hot. If you’ve successfully driven awareness campaigns, secured coverage, or navigated CRA-related topics before, please point me to relevant work. Let’s shine a light on this and push the conversation forward.
