A recent incident means I need to pull critical video from traffic signal CCTV system, yet every attempt to play or export the files ends in errors—the footage appears corrupted. The unit is still intact, the drive has not been reformatted, and no data has been intentionally overwritten, so the raw video streams should still reside on the disk.

The task is straightforward: isolate the damaged files, repair or rebuild the containers, and deliver playable video in a common format (MP4 or AVI preferred) along with a brief note on the recovery steps you used. Utilities such as DVR forensic suites, Hex-level editors, FFmpeg, or custom scripts are all acceptable as long as the end result is clean, continuous playback covering the full timestamp range.

Because this is a single-location DVR/NVR system (no cloud component), I can provide either:

• A direct image of the drive
• Remote access to the box over a secure VPN
• Or, if required, a shipped copy of the raw disk

Please confirm you have prior experience rescuing CCTV files that suffered file corruption at the device level rather than simple deletion, and outline the typical turnaround you can offer.
