Arlo Home is a luxury bespoke furniture and interior design company specialising in made-to-measure wardrobes, walk-in dressing rooms, fitted bedroom furniture and complete bedroom transformations.

We are seeking experienced, reliable freelance technical surveyors to undertake professional site measurements at our customers’ properties across the UK.

This is an ongoing opportunity for suitable candidates, with work allocated on a project-by-project basis.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for visiting residential properties and obtaining accurate technical measurements for bespoke furniture manufacturing and installation.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Conducting accurate site surveys for bespoke fitted wardrobes, walk-in wardrobes and complete bedrooms.
* Measuring wall lengths, ceiling heights, alcoves, recesses and structural features.
* Identifying uneven walls, sloping ceilings, skirting boards, coving and other installation considerations.
* Recording door openings, windows, radiators, electrical sockets and other obstructions.
* Producing clear, dimensioned floor plans and wall elevations.
* Taking comprehensive photographs and videos of the surveyed areas.
* Identifying potential installation challenges.
* Submitting accurate measurements and technical reports digitally to our design team.

Requirements

* Proven experience in fitted furniture, kitchen, bedroom or joinery surveying.
* Excellent understanding of technical measurements and installation requirements.
* Ability to produce accurate, clearly annotated drawings.
* Experience using laser measuring equipment.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Professional presentation and communication skills.
* Own transport and measuring equipment.
* Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
* Appropriate professional insurance.

Important Information

This is strictly a technical surveying role, not a sales or installation opportunity.

All customers, project enquiries, designs and commercial arrangements are managed directly by Arlo Home.

Successful applicants will be required to sign a confidentiality and customer non-solicitation agreement before undertaking assignments.
