I have a spreadsheet of about 400 UK companies with no email address on record. For each company, I need you to search online and find the best general contact email.
What to enter for each company (one answer per row):
* If you find an email address, enter the email.
* If the company has no email anywhere but does have a contact form, enter the web address (URL) of the contact form.
* If there is neither, enter "not available".
For every email or contact form, also paste the web address of the page where you found it.
* Which email to choose. * We'll use these addresses to invite each company to take part in a short research survey, so we want the inbox most likely to be read and passed to someone who can answer:
If the company has both a UK and a non-UK address, give the UK one (for example a .co.uk address, or the UK office rather than global head office).
If there's no general inbox, a management or head-office address is next best.
Avoid addresses that are only for sales, careers or HR, press, accounts or invoices, customer support, or no-reply.
Important:
Please don't guess or build addresses yourself. Every email must appear on a public web page, and you must give the link.
Many emails are hidden from automated tools but show up normally in a web browser, so please check each site by hand. Contact pages, website footers, privacy policies and terms pages often list an address.
If the website is missing or offline, search by company name and town. Company listings on LinkedIn or Facebook, and business directories, can help.
Please don't use email-finder tools or bought databases.
