Thorough School Culture Literature Review

Write a literature review that details the most recent and relevant source material on your particular topic, including the aspect of school culture that is being considered. The literature review should:

Identify the main aspects of your research question
Define the basic terminology and concepts related to the issues you will discuss
Introduce the main theories that allow you to discuss your research question(s)
Present peer-reviewed and professional literature that relates to each aspect of your question, including
identifying important issues/questions raised in the literature relevant to your topic
sorting and categorising experts’ views according to the issues/questions identified in the literature
comparing and contrasting these views by identifying similar and dissimilar themes, theories, and concepts that link (or divide) expert opinion (as such it is not an annotated bibliography)
Assimilate the themes and ideas from the numerous sources into your own words
The primary purpose of the literature review is to provide a comprehensive overview of expert opinion concerning the problem under investigation in your action research project as identified by your research question(s). As such, your literature review should be concentrated and well documented.
