Remanence is pioneering the next era of enterprise AI by building intelligent systems that learn continuously from real-world execution. We transform complex enterprise workflows and business context into dynamic, interactive environments where AI agents can safely learn, adapt, and improve. By combining high-fidelity simulation environments with state-of-the-art training loops, we build specialized models that solve long-horizon, complex tasks with unmatched reliability. We're building the most talent-dense AI team in Europe to make this happen.
You’ll build the product through which researchers and customers use Remanence: the web application, APIs, SDKs, and backend services connecting agent activity to evaluation and training. Your goal is to turn complex research capabilities into an intuitive platform that customers can use independently.
What you'll work on
Build interfaces for exploring agent traces, creating environments and verifiers, launching training runs, and comparing evaluations.
Develop APIs and SDKs that connect customers’ existing agents, tools, and data to Remanence.
Build backend workflows for sandboxed agent sessions, evaluations, and training jobs, with live progress, cancellation, retries, and clear failure handling.
Implement platform foundations including authentication, permissions, customer isolation, and audit trails.
Own features from prototype to production, working directly with researchers and customers to turn deployment feedback into reusable product capabilities.
Own your services in production: testing, observability, performance and on-call.
Relevant technologies
Backend: Python, Rust, FastAPI or Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, REST and gRPC.
Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, and interfaces for streaming events and data visualization.
Platform: Docker, Kubernetes, Ray, and durable workflow orchestration such as Temporal.
Bonus: Rust, Python/TypeScript SDK development, or experience building tools for agents and ML workflows.
Strong production experience building backend systems in Python is mandatory.
About you
You're a strong backend engineer who is comfortable shipping a clean, useful interface. You care about API design, data modeling and correctness under concurrency and failure. You enjoy working closely with researchers and customers, and turning rough needs into tools people rely on.
We welcome both experienced specialists and generalists who learn exceptionally quickly. Experience deploying agents in production is nice to have. But prior ML experience is not required; evidence of shipping and owning production software matters.
What we offer
Competitive compensation and equity.
A fast-paced environment combining frontier research with impactful real-world applications.
Visa sponsorship and relocation support for candidates joining us.
A flexible hybrid setup, with a preference for working together in person.
