I am midway through a series of Siemens Teamcenter PLM + Solid Edge CAD data-migration projects and need an expert mentor to take me the rest of the way. The focus is practical: I want to see exactly how native CAD data—especially Solid Edge and legacy AutoCAD files—moves cleanly from another PLM/PDM environment into Teamcenter, and then re-emerges just as clean on the other side.
Here is what I expect from you:
• Two to three guided sample projects that step through every stage of a real migration, from initial data audit to final validation inside Teamcenter.
• Clear, step-by-step written documentation for each project so I can repeat the workflow on my own.
• Short video walkthroughs that mirror the written steps, highlighting any critical clicks or settings.
• Live, interactive workshop sessions where we troubleshoot issues and fine-tune the process in real time.
The core topics must include:
• Import/export best practices for native CAD datasets.
• Techniques specific to Solid Edge files and common AutoCAD drawings.
• Tips for mapping metadata and keeping revision history intact inside Teamcenter.
• Strategies for setting the right access controls so migrated data lands with the correct ownership and permissions.
By the end of our engagement I should be able to run an end-to-end migration confidently, document the process for my team, and adapt the workflow to future projects without external help. If you have reusable checklists, scripts, or template workflows, all the better—please weave them into the materials.
I’m ready to start as soon as you can outline the first dummy project and its milestones.
