Supply Chain Cost Reduction Analysis

Our operations team needs a deep-dive into our current supply-chain performance with one clear objective: uncover realistic, data-backed ways to drive costs down without disrupting service levels. I will provide historical purchase orders, freight invoices, lead-time logs, and supplier contracts—roughly three years of data exported from SAP and Excel.

You will be expected to clean and model this data, isolate cost drivers across procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory holding, then translate the findings into practical recommendations I can put in front of senior leadership. Power BI or Tableau dashboards that visualise savings opportunities are welcome as long as the underlying calculations are transparent and easy to update.

Deliverables
• A concise executive report (PDF) outlining methodology, key insights, and cost-saving scenarios
• An Excel or Google Sheets model with clearly labelled assumptions and sensitivity toggles
• Optional interactive dashboard (Power BI or Tableau) highlighting high-impact levers

Acceptance criteria
The analysis must quantify at least three cost-reduction levers, show supporting calculations, and reference source data rows so we can audit the numbers internally.
