I am a university student in Australia who relies on regular family support rather than wages. Because this money is not currently formalised as “income”, I am finding it difficult to satisfy lenders when I apply for a small personal loan or even open a basic line of credit.

What I already have on hand
• A full set of family-trust deeds, resolutions and related paperwork
• Recent bank statements that show the transfers from my parents
• Simple income records I have prepared myself

What I need from you
1. Work through those documents with me, explain—in plain English—how the trust is presently structured, who the appointor, trustee and beneficiaries are, and whether distributions are already being recorded anywhere the banks will accept.
2. Design a compliant strategy that lets me show consistent, verifiable income on paper so a mainstream Australian lender will treat it as serviceable income. This may involve drafting distribution minutes, setting up a simple payroll-style arrangement, or recommending another approach that fits the trust deed and ATO rules.
3. Produce a concise action plan I can hand to both my parents and a prospective lender. I want clear next steps, any ATO registrations or record-keeping routines I must follow, and an outline of supporting documents (e.g. accountant’s letters, pay-slips generated from bookkeeping software such as Xero).
4. Advice how I can plan my financial future and manage monthly budgets to ensure that I can take advantage of long-term compounding interest to set my self up for financial security. I am a medical student due to graduate as a doctor in Australia in 2029. Whilst that might feel far away, I know that it will come quicker than I realise and I want to avoid the mistakes made frequently by young professionals, such as did my family in the past.

Acceptance criteria
• A written summary of the current trust structure and cash flow, free of jargon.
• A step-by-step implementation roadmap that is workable under Australian tax law.
• Template letters or sample documents that a bank’s credit officer will recognise as proof of income.
- A plan that aligns with my goals and motives as outlined above pertaining to my financial future

No current debts, so the plan can focus squarely on turning my family support into lender-friendly, documentable income rather than debt consolidation. Experience with Australian trusts, personal finance structuring and compliance is essential; familiarity with ATO guidelines and usual lending criteria (CBA, NAB, Westpac, etc.) would be ideal.
