I need a qualified structural engineer to review and certify a small residential timber pavilion in Wandina, Geraldton WA. The pavilion is approximately 6.0 m x 3.0 m, with a 6.5 m x 4.5 m gable roof, 25° pitch, 8 perimeter posts, and no internal posts.
The engineer will review:
- Stability of the structure
- Joinery and connections
- Wind rating for my arera
- confirmation of timber member sizes
- post bases and anchors
- beam/post, rafter and ridge connections
bracing
- wind and uplift design
- footing sizes and reinforcement
- consideration of the existing retaining wall and retained ground
Requirements:
- Must comply with Australian Building Codes
- Experience with residential timber structures
- Ability to interpret and work from detailed architectural plans
