Structural Draftsperson

Job description
Our Company is looking for a Structural Draftsperson to support our Project Management Team. The Structural Draftsperson is responsible for providing structural detailing and completing fabrication drawings for pre-engineered and modular structural steel buildings. If you have experience with structural steel detailing and are proficient in AutoCAD, we want to hear from you!
Prepares structural approval drawings, shop fabrication drawings and erection drawings, including material lists.

Duties:

Prepares structural drawings issued for fabrication and field construction purposes in compliance with applicable building and/or structural code requirements.
Provides structural detailing for pre-engineered and modular structural steel buildings.
Communicates and coordinates with internal project management to ensure requirements are incorporated into accurate structural approval and production drawings.

Requirements:

Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or other related education is considered an asset.
Minimum 5 years of drafting experience.
Good working knowledge of structural steel design and detailing practices and materials for steel structures.
Knowledgeable in the use of AutoCAD.
Knowledge and experience with structural steel structures.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
Strong organizational skills.
A team-oriented work approach with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
