STEM Content Editor & Rewriter – Scientific and Technical Article
We are looking for an experienced STEM Content Editor and Rewriter to professionally edit and restructure an approximately 10,000-word AI-generated scientific or technical article, reducing it to around 7,500 words while preserving essential concepts, technical accuracy, examples, analytical depth, and the original purpose.
The project requires substantial editing, removal of redundant explanations, improvement of sentence structure, and better organization of scientific or technical information. The final article must be clear, engaging, logically structured, and suitable for publication without compromising subject-specific terminology or factual accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Reduce the article's length by approximately 25 percent without losing important information.
Improve structure, readability, flow, and transitions.
Remove repetitive statements, generic phrasing, filler content, and unnecessary explanations.
Verify the consistency of scientific terminology, units, equations, numerical values, and technical explanations.
Preserve important examples, evidence, references, and analytical insights.
Maintain a consistent professional tone suitable for STEM readers.
Requirements
Proven experience in STEM writing, scientific editing, technical copyediting, or academic content development.
Strong command of English and the ability to simplify complex concepts without changing their meaning.
Familiarity with subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, or environmental science.
Excellent attention to technical accuracy, terminology, and logical consistency.
Editing Method: This project requires manual editorial judgment and substantive rewriting. AI rewriting tools, automated humanization software, and paraphrasing tools must not be used to process the manuscript.
Final Deliverable: An approximately 7,500-word, professionally edited STEM article that is technically accurate, coherent, and ready for publication.
To Apply: Please share your relevant STEM editing experience, subject expertise, samples of scientific or technical articles you have edited, your fixed-price quote for the 10,000-word draft, and your estimated turnaround time.
