STAAD.Pro Expert for Structural Assessment

**Project Title:**
**Reliability-Based Structural Assessment of Industrial Steel Portal Frames under Combined Wind and Crane Loading – STAAD.Pro**

**Project Description:**
I am a B.Tech Civil Engineering student looking for an experienced **Structural Engineer / STAAD.Pro Expert** to provide guidance and assistance for my academic project titled:

**“Reliability-Based Structural Assessment of Industrial Steel Portal Frames under Combined Wind and Crane Loading.”**

The project involves modelling and analysing an industrial steel portal frame in **STAAD.Pro**, considering the combined effects of gravity, wind and overhead crane loading, followed by a reliability-based structural assessment.

### Scope of Work

* Develop the structural geometry and framing system in STAAD.Pro.
* Define appropriate steel material properties and structural sections.
* Apply dead load, live/roof load, wind load and overhead crane loading.
* Define appropriate load cases and load combinations.
* Perform structural analysis in STAAD.Pro.
* Check member forces, stresses, deflections and support reactions.
* Perform relevant steel design/checks.
* Explain the modelling assumptions and analysis results.
* Develop a suitable **reliability-based assessment methodology**.
* Calculate/interpret the **reliability index (β)** or other appropriate reliability parameters.
* Define suitable limit-state/performance functions.
* Prepare relevant graphs, tables and results for the academic report.
* give content that will Help explain the methodology so I can understand and defend the project during my viva.

### Codes / Standards

Preference will be given to someone experienced with Indian Standards, particularly:

* **IS 800** – General Construction in Steel
* **IS 875** – Design Loads for Buildings and Structures
* **IS 1893** – Earthquake-resistant design provisions, where applicable
* Relevant standards/guidelines for **crane loading**
* Relevant concepts/methodologies for structural reliability and limit-state assessment

### Required Deliverables

1. Complete **STAAD.Pro model/source files**.
2. Analysis and design output files/results.
3. Load cases and load combinations.
4. Structural calculations and modelling assumptions.
5. Reliability assessment methodology and calculations.
6. Reliability index / β results and interpretation.
7. Tables and graphs suitable for the final academic report.
8. Guidance for preparing the technical report.
9. Guidance for PPT/presentation and viva.

### IMPORTANT — SCREEN RECORDING REQUIRED

I require **screen recordings of the work performed in STAAD.Pro**.

The recording should show the workflow step-by-step, including:

* Creating the STAAD.Pro model and geometry.
* Defining members and sections.
* Assigning material properties.
* Defining supports.
* Applying dead, live, wind and crane loads.
* Creating load combinations.
* Running analysis and design.
* Checking analysis/design results.
* Reliability assessment methodology and calculations.
* Important assumptions, modifications and corrections made during the project.

The purpose of the recordings is **to understand the complete workflow and be able to reproduce and explain the project during my academic evaluation and viva**.

**Please clearly mention in your proposal whether the screen recording is included in your quoted price.**

Preferably, recordings should be in **1080p with clear visibility of the STAAD.Pro interface and voice explanation**, where possible.

### Preferred Freelancer

* Civil/Structural Engineering background.
* Strong practical experience with **STAAD.Pro**.
* Experience with industrial steel structures/portal frames.
* Good understanding of steel design and wind loading.
* Knowledge of crane loading.
* Understanding of structural reliability concepts.
* Familiarity with Indian Standards.
* Previous academic/research project experience is preferred.
