Sports Team Shirt Designer Required – ACT State 8 Ball Team 2026

We are seeking an experienced sports apparel designer to create two professional playing shirt designs for the ACT State 8 Ball Team competing at the 2026 Australian 8 Ball Championships.

Scope

We require two separate shirt designs:

Australian National Championships Team Shirt
Australia Cup Team Shirt

The two designs should have their own identity while still clearly representing the ACT and looking like part of the same overall State Team brand.

Design Requirements
Primary colours: Gold, Royal Blue and White
Modern, professional sports team / competition shirt design
Suitable for full sublimation printing
Supplied logos must be incorporated into the designs
Certain logos have specific required locations on the shirt – details/templates will be supplied
Designs need to work across the front, back, sleeves and collar/shoulder areas as applicable
Final artwork must comply with the shirt manufacturer's supplied template and production requirements
Timeframe & Revisions

We require the final approved, production-ready artwork within 7 days of commencement.

Good communication and responsiveness will be extremely important.

We expect this to be a collaborative design process, with concepts provided and then refined based on our feedback. The successful designer must be willing to work back and forth with us through as many reasonable revisions as required to achieve the agreed design brief and final result.

Please do not apply if you have strict limits on minor revisions or are unwilling to continue refining the designs until they meet the project requirements.

We will also respond promptly and provide clear feedback to ensure the project can be completed within the 7-day timeframe.

Final Files Required

This is important: we are looking for someone who understands print-ready sports apparel artwork, not simply someone who can produce a visual concept or mock-up.

Final approved designs must be supplied as production-ready artwork that our manufacturer can take directly into production, including:

Press/print-ready PDF
Vector artwork
EPS and/or other editable vector source files
Correctly positioned artwork using the manufacturer's supplied shirt template
All fonts converted to outlines where required
Any other files reasonably required by the manufacturer for production

The designer must also be willing to make any reasonable technical adjustments requested by the manufacturer if the supplied artwork requires changes before it can proceed to production.

Designer Requirements

We are specifically looking for someone who:

Has demonstrated experience designing sublimated sports team shirts
Can provide examples of previous sports apparel designs
Understands preparing artwork for commercial garment production
Has strong attention to detail
Communicates clearly and responds promptly
Can work collaboratively through multiple rounds of revisions
Can complete the entire project within 7 days

We will provide the successful designer with our logos, branding requirements, examples/references and the manufacturer's shirt template and specifications.
